Hot-dip Zinc Coating
Hot-dip zinc coating (galvanizing) is the most
reliable and lasting method of protecting iron or steel from different types of
corrosion. The thickness of a hot-dipped coating can be varied from a thin zinc alloy layer to heavy applications suitable for extended outdoor exposure. Hot-dip galvanizing provides corrosion protection for several decades in a variety of environments. Hot-dip zinc coating also provides reliable electrochemical protection.
Hot-dip zinc coating of metal and metalwork:
- The maximal
sizes of metalware for the hot-dip galvanizing are 7000 mm x 2500 mm x 1100 mm;
- The maximum allowed weight of a single metal construction is 1000 kg;
- The thickness of the zinc layer during hot-dip zinc coating ranges from 70 to 250 mkm (optimal value is 70 - 120 mkm).
